This first of its kind complication allows you to enjoy the accessory value of an exquisite timekeeper on your wrist, while only revealing the actual time when called upon. To accomplish this, Secret Hours keeps both the hour and the minute hands standing at attention throughout the day in a vertical salute pointing precisely at 12:00, while the mechanical movement within continues to discreetly track the hours and minutes. When the moment arrives when you simply must know, simply press and hold the button located at 9 o’clock to reveal the current time.       

Used to put the conspicuous awareness of each passing minute on hold, Secret Hours is also a conversation piece that creates a unique perception of time that is at once simple to use, yet complicated to create. Franck Muller’s Master Watchmakers had to develop entirely new solutions and create what is effectively an elevator system that lifts the running movement up to cleanly mesh with the hour and minute hands and impel them to their correct stations around the dial. This display is only momentary and lasts as long as the button is held in. When released, so are the hands freed to return to their post, standing guard at the 12 o’clock position until next called upon to reveal the Secret Hour.
