This light and airy wristwatch is a perfect expression of watchmaking expertise meets modern esthetics - in this instance coming to life in a super-slim 9.2mm curved case fitted with sapphire crystals front and back.

 

Like the case around it, each component of the timekeeping engine within was designed, manufactured, decorated, assembled and regulated completely in-house at Franck Muller’s Watchland Manufacture.

 

On closer inspection, the unfettered view of the superbly finished FM caliber 708-SQ automatic winding movement instills a deeper appreciation of the finesse applied to each of the 129 components of the very thin 4.4 mm movement including beveling (Anglage), diamond polishing, brushed finishes, Geneva Waves (Cotes de Geneve), and engine turning (Perlage) to name a few.

Sized for ladies, the 35mm width x 46mm length is comfortable on the wrist and held in place by a color-matching alligator strap made at Franck Muller’s own leatherworks in Switzerland.

 

Thanks to the Vanguard’s no-lug design, the straps merge effortlessly into the case in another detail that enhances both the overall look as well as the comfort on the wrist of the Lady Slim Skeleton.
